  1. Your passenger says they have ridden motorcycles before. Should you still explain how to ride with you?

Correct answer: Yes; review mounting, holding, foot position and behavior before leaving.

Prior experience does not establish that a passenger knows your motorcycle or the needed coordination. Review the basics before the trip, while you can both concentrate on the instructions.

  2. A prospective passenger cannot reach the passenger footrests. What is the appropriate decision?

Correct answer: Do not carry them in that unsuitable arrangement.

The passenger must be able to use the provided footrests and hold on securely. This is an equipment and fit requirement, not a statement about the legal minimum passenger age.

  3. How should a passenger respond during a normal turn on a conventional two-wheel motorcycle?

Correct answer: Stay behind the rider and lean with the rider.

Coordinated, predictable movement helps preserve balance. The passenger should follow the rider’s lean and avoid sudden shifts; this guidance is for a two-wheel motorcycle, not a non-leaning trike.

  4. Your passenger is ready to get on. How should you stabilize the motorcycle during mounting?

Correct answer: Keep both feet on the ground and the front brake applied.

Mounting changes the load and balance. Keep the motorcycle securely supported and controlled as the passenger gets on, following its operating instructions.
