Privacy Policy
This policy explains what DMV Practice Lab currently stores and why.
Information you provide
The public practice tests do not require an account, name, email address, payment, or mailing address. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include in your message.
Practice progress
The site uses browser storage, when available, for saved attempts, missed-question references and study history. This is device- and browser-specific; it does not automatically transfer to another device or website address. Temporary quiz drafts are eligible to resume for up to 30 days; expired drafts may remain in browser storage until replaced or cleared. We do not upload these answers through a learner account.
Question reports and email
The question-report link prepares a draft in your email app with the question reference, wording, state or category and page path. It does not include your saved answers, practice history or URL query parameters. Nothing is sent automatically. If you choose to send an email, your email provider sends us the message and sender details; include only the information needed to explain the issue.
Technical information
Our hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, device or browser details, requested pages, timestamps, and security logs to operate and protect the service.
Cookies and advertising
DMV Practice Lab does not currently load Google AdSense ads, advertising cookies or a payment checkout. Hosting and access-security systems may use cookies to operate this private preview. Google advertising is planned, not active. Before enabling it, we will update this policy to describe the actual providers and data use and provide applicable consent and privacy controls. You do not need to accept advertising to use the current practice tests.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal information. Service providers may process limited technical data only to host, secure, or maintain the site. Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes or legal obligations.
Planned Google advertising — not active
If Google AdSense is enabled in the future, Google and participating advertising partners may place and read cookies, or use web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers, to serve and measure ads. Advertising cookies may support personalized ads based on previous visits to this website or other websites. Read how Google uses information from partner sites. Before activation, we will identify the actual providers and data use and update this policy accordingly.
Advertising choices
You can manage or opt out of Google’s personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. Those external settings do not record an advertising-consent choice on this website. No advertising consent tool is active in this preview. Before serving ads, we will provide the applicable consent controls, including a Google-certified consent management platform for personalized ads in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Where consent is requested, visitors will be able to decline it and revisit their choices.
Your choices
You can clear local study data through your browser settings. Email support@DMVPracticeLab.com to ask a privacy question or request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you previously sent us, subject to applicable law. Do not include identity-document images or sensitive identification numbers in your message.
Children
The site is a general driving-test study resource and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children.
Updates
We may revise this policy when site features or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available on this page. Last updated October 9, 2026.
