How we built this practice
- Class 3 car: 201 questions. Traffic signal decisions; Permits and driver responsibilities; Vehicle preparation and equipment; Speed, space and defensive driving; Lanes, turns, passing and parking; Intersections and right of way; Sharing the road; Conditions and emergencies; Illustrated road signs; Pavement markings.
- Motorcycle: 125 questions. Preparation and control; Visibility, space and traffic strategy; Surfaces, hazards and emergencies; Fitness, passengers and groups; Rider rules and licensing.
- CDL: 112 questions. General knowledge; Air brakes; Combination vehicles; Passenger transport; Doubles and triples; Tank vehicles; Hazardous materials; School bus; Licensing and training.
Hawaii-specific guidance checked September 29, 2026. Common sign-recognition records retain their artwork attribution and individual review dates. Exact source references are kept internally. Repeating a question on another page does not increase the inventory.
The 2023 Hawaii Driver’s Manual supplies core Class 3 car guidance, signs and markings. Current statutes and agency instructions replace older text where requirements have changed, including insurance minimums, child restraints, handheld devices and school-bus stopping. The digital file’s 2024 upload does not make it a 2024 edition.
The May 2017 Motorcycle Operator Manual supplies two-wheel skills. Current HDOT motorcycle guidance and Hawaii statutes supplement its older licensing rules, including Basic RiderCourse completion before a new Class 2 permit application. Honolulu-only procedures are expressly named, not presented as rules for every county.
The Hawaii June 2025 CDL Manual uses the 2005 test-system material, version July 2017. Selected licensing items also use Act 022 (2026): the restricted intrastate pathway for drivers ages 18–20 is conditional, not a blanket lower age for every CDL applicant. CLP guidance is 180 days plus one possible 180-day renewal. Current electronic medical-certification requirements supplement older paper-submission text.
Practice settings and official tests
Numbered sets and fresh mixes are short, untimed study sessions, generally 20 questions or fewer. The 80% target is an editorial learning setting, not a verified Hawaii exam specification or passing prediction. CDL general-knowledge mixes do not combine unrelated endorsements into one supposed official test.
Licensing is administered by counties. Check the issuing county’s current appointment, documentation and testing instructions. We do not generalize a county’s online-test acceptance, fees, wait periods or skills-test procedures across Hawaii, and we do not quiz disputed Basic RiderCourse implementation dates.
Coverage is finite: core English Class 3 car, two-wheel motorcycle and CDL knowledge families with selected current state requirements. Every administrative exemption, every possible exam question, translated parity, full three-wheel training and practical certification are outside this release. Use complete manuals and qualified instruction alongside practice.

More about these sources
Independent practice, not official Hawaii test questions. Common signs and driving skills are not unique Hawaii rules. State licensing requirements are kept separate from shared operating guidance. Quizzes do not replace the complete manuals, current agency instructions or hands-on training.
