CDL coverage and source limits
Study the driving concept and keep its legal scope separate. A source from another state is not represented as an Illinois handbook page.

How we built this practice
Illinois and federal requirements
Illinois licensing questions use the previously reviewed SOS and federal requirements. The existing federal operating-rule questions retain their interstate, vehicle and cargo qualifications. They do not establish that the same rule applies to every intrastate operation.

Selected general-driving, air-brake, combination, trailer, tank, passenger, school-bus and hazardous-materials safety scenarios reuse our own already-reviewed practice. Their actual source is an Iowa DOT publication: October 2023 hybrid edition with a 2017 technical core, read October 1, 2026. Its original page references and review dates are preserved internally.
This is common technical guidance, not a verified current Illinois SOS manual, Illinois road law, endorsement authorization, current inspection-test sequence or proof of current federal regulatory equivalence. Iowa licensing and state-specific road-rule questions are not imported. Follow current Illinois requirements, applicable regulations, vehicle instructions and required training.
Original Iowa DOT technical referenceThese questions cover selected CDL topics. Full current-manual, state-specific school-bus and practical-test coverage is not claimed. Numbered tests, topic quizzes, shuffled practice and the full question set reuse the same records; completing several modes does not create additional unique questions.
Choose a CDL topic
Focus on general driving or the equipment you plan to operate. These are the same questions used in the numbered sets and full practice questions, not extra question counts. Endorsement topics stay separate from the general-practice mix.
