Indiana motorcycle manual and sources

Use the official manuals alongside practice. Our 132 selected motorcycle questions are study aids, not the official exam question set or a substitute for a riding course.

Reviewed September 14, 2026. Indiana questions cover the listed permit, endorsement, transfer and skills-test conditions. Current BMV instructions govern applications and permit riding hours. A quiz result cannot issue or amend a license.

How we built this practice

The 112-question two-wheel question set contains 16 Indiana licensing questions, 48 rider-safety questions, 32 equipment and mechanical-problem questions, and 16 Indiana traffic questions. A separate set of 20 questions covers conventional non-leaning trikes and right-mounted sidecars. Shared scenarios come from our own question set and were checked for Indiana applicability. No Arizona permit or filtering rules were imported.

Brake and handling questions distinguish conventional brakes from ABS, and two-wheel riding from other vehicle layouts. Follow your motorcycle’s instructions and qualified rider training. Passenger and night-riding scenarios assume lawful riding authority; an Indiana motorcycle permit does not allow passengers.

The seven 16-question sets, random 20 and two 10-question three-wheel sets are our study formats. The random test and two-wheel marathon exclude three-wheel handling. We have not verified the official motorcycle exam’s question count, time limit or passing score. These selected scenarios do not cover every law or vehicle configuration; read the complete official manuals.
