Kansas handbooks and study coverage

What is included, how to use it, and where the underlying guidance comes from.

Kansas-specific guidance checked September 29, 2026. Common sign recognition retains its own source dates and lawful artwork credits. Exact locators stay in internal question records. Repeated appearances in topics and mixes do not increase the inventory.

The Kansas Driving Handbook is revised February 2022. Current graduated-licensing guidance and applicable statutes supplement the older text. Questions distinguish the age-banded permit and restricted-license stages. Our standard-sign artwork and road schematics are shared learning illustrations, not reproductions of this PDF.

The 2020 Kansas Motorcycle Handbook supplies two-wheel operating guidance. Selected current state requirements are a separate topic. The permit rules for riders under 17 differ from those for riders 17 and older; ordinary car front-seat supervision is not a motorcycle rule. This practice is not a three-wheel course.

The March 2025 CDL Handbook identifies the Modernized Testing System while many knowledge chapters retain older model dates. Current Kansas CDL guidance supplements it, including electronic medical reporting from June 2, 2025. The Truckers Against Trafficking requirement is one-time training, not a new course at every renewal. Federal requirements are labeled as federal rather than uniquely Kansas rules.

Study settings, not an official exam

Numbered sets and fresh mixes are untimed practice, generally 20 questions or fewer, with an editorial 80% learning target. Class C knowledge test: 25 questions. 20 correct are needed to pass. Agency passing statement: 80 percent. The handbook explicitly says the knowledge exam is NOT TIMED. timeLimitMinutes=null here means officially untimed, not a missing assumed 20-minute duration. 25 questions and80% published;20correct/fivemisses derived. Its15–20minutes is a typical completion estimate, not a limit. No distinct adult count or explicit early-termination policy found. Our sets do not claim to reproduce the official car test. No official motorcycle or CDL timer, exam length or passing threshold is claimed here. A practice score does not predict the licensing result.

CDL mixes cover general knowledge only; endorsements and licensing remain separate topics. Coverage is finite: core English Class C car, two-wheel motorcycle and applicable CDL knowledge families with selected current requirements. Every administrative exception, all possible exam questions, translated parity and practical-driving certification are outside this release. Use the full manuals and qualified instruction, and confirm current agency requirements before testing.

Independent practice, not official Kansas test questions. Common signs and driving skills are not unique Kansas rules. State licensing requirements are kept separate from shared operating guidance. Quizzes do not replace the complete manuals, current agency instructions or hands-on training.
