How we built this practice
Each answer includes an explanation. In the 140-page RMV PDF reviewed here, printed page 16 is PDF page 24; internal source records use the PDF page number. Future manual revisions may move those pages. Pictured-sign answers draw on either the RMV sign grids or the applicable FHWA symbol reference, with separate illustration credits; they are also available together in road signs practice.

These 272 questions cover selected Class D topics, including pictured sign identification, work zones, parking, bicycle-road sharing, citations and license consequences. Additional signs and road markings, further licensing procedures and special driving situations still need broader practice coverage. Motorcycle practice has its own 132 questions and source notes. CDL practice includes 632 questions across general knowledge and seven specialist subjects, plus inspection and practical-test preparation, bus qualifications and accessible service, with separate source notes.
Passenger Class D learner's permit exam: 25 questions. 18 correct are needed to pass, subject to the separate requirements below. Published time limit for this format: 25 minutes. The online overview specifies automatic failure for exceeding 25 minutes, two minutes of inactivity, or leaving the browser. Seven allowed mistakes is derived from the published 18-of-25 requirement. A separate passing percentage is not published in the reviewed source. The agency overview reports 35 available languages, but an authoritative complete list was not verified; languages remains null. No published score-based early-stop rule was verified. Application page facts were accessible in the official search index; direct retrieval returned 403. The full test's topic mix is independent study design. Rules and agency requirements may change, so check current RMV guidance.
