Mississippi-specific guidance checked September 29, 2026. Shared recognition retains its own dates and lawful artwork credits. Exact provenance remains in internal records. Numbered tests, topics and mixes reuse the same questions; their repeated appearances do not increase the inventory.
The current Driver Service Bureau catalog links the car manual revised December 2024. Its upload filename does not change that edition date. Class R is ordinary driving; light-commercial Class D is separate from the A/B/C CDL classes. Current agency instructions supplement the handbook, including the transfer requirements. Our sign images and road schematics are lawful shared or original learning illustrations, not extracted handbook diagrams.
The linked motorcycle supplement uses MSF 17th Edition operating guidance. The current motorcycle application page supplies selected permit, licensing and waiver instructions. An eligible course waiver concerns the skills test, not a blanket waiver of knowledge requirements. This practice teaches two-wheel riding, not three-wheel handling.
The current 165-page CDL manual is Version March 2025, despite some older operating-chapter footers. Current agency guidance supplements its medical reporting and licensing instructions. General knowledge, air brakes, combinations, passenger, doubles/triples, tank, hazardous-material, school-bus and licensing practice remain separate. Study does not substitute for endorsement eligibility, required training or a practical test.
One federal examiner-reporting scenario was checked October 4, 2026 against 49 CFR 391.43(g)(5)(i)(B): reporting is due by midnight local time on the next calendar day. The state webpage still says 48 hours; the scenario tests the federal duty, not a promised Mississippi record-posting time.
The Driver Service Bureau lists a six-month validity period for the CDL learner's permit, separately from the ordinary two-year learner's permit. This distinction was checked October 4, 2026 and is included in licensing practice. Check the expiration date on your own permit when planning training and testing; the listed term does not establish an automatic renewal right.
Current limits and practice settings
The June 25, 2026 education notice distinguishes the hardship-instructor change effective July 1, 2026 from general new-driver education announced for July 1, 2027. The latter is not taught as already effective.
Selected agency-supported requirements are included, but some current codified details remain unverified: ordinary minor-driver nighttime restrictions, additional motorcycle permit/equipment exceptions, Mississippi CDL under-21 eligibility and applicable restrictions, and CLP renewal conditions. These are not filled with another state's rules. Confirm them with the Driver Service Bureau before applying or riding; this release is a knowledge basics, not a complete licensing checklist.
Numbered sets and fresh mixes are untimed, generally 20 questions or fewer, with an editorial 80% study target. These are study settings, not a verified official Mississippi exam format, timer or passing prediction. CDL mixed practice covers general knowledge only; choose endorsements separately.
This finite English basics covers core Class R car, two-wheel motorcycle and applicable CDL knowledge families with selected current requirements. It is not every administrative exception, every possible exam question, translated parity or practical-driving certification. Use the full manuals and qualified instruction.

Independent practice, not official Mississippi test questions. Common signs and driving skills are not unique Mississippi rules. State licensing requirements are kept separate from shared operating guidance. Quizzes do not replace the complete manuals, current agency instructions or hands-on training.
