Montana-specific guidance checked September 29, 2026. Shared recognition retains its own dates and lawful artwork credits. Exact provenance remains in internal records. Numbered tests, topics and mixes reuse the same questions; their repeated appearances do not increase the inventory.
The current MVD forms catalog links the 99-page Class D driver manual. Its cover says Revised April 2024, despite the May 2026 upload filename. Current MCA 2025 and agency instructions override outdated handbook requirements where identified, including learner age, child restraints, insurance and emergency-vehicle rules. Our lawful shared sign images and original schematics are learning illustrations, not extracted Montana handbook artwork.
The linked motorcycle manual is Revised December 2015, MSF 16th Edition, in two-page spreads. Current code supplements its older state information: motorcycle learner supervision is from a separate vehicle, limited lane filtering has speed and safe-width conditions, and minor helmet and restricted-license rules have their own scope. The handbook's safer-formation advice is not a blanket legal ban on consensual two-abreast riding. This practice covers two-wheel riding, not three-wheel handling.
The current 174-page CDL manual is Revised June 2026, even though the URL contains March and core chapters retain July 2017 footers. Its updated Montana supplement supplies the one-year CLP and electronic medical reporting. Current agency instructions distinguish intrastate from interstate eligibility and the consequences of an expired intrastate medical certificate. General knowledge, endorsements and licensing remain separate.
Practice settings and limits
Numbered sets and fresh mixes are untimed, generally 20 questions or fewer, with an editorial 80% study target. These are study settings, not a verified official Montana exam format, timer or passing prediction. CDL mixed practice covers general knowledge only; choose the appropriate endorsements separately.
This finite English release covers core Class D car, two-wheel motorcycle and applicable CDL knowledge families with selected current requirements. It is not every administrative exception, every possible exam question, translated parity or practical-driving certification. Specialist non-domiciled CDL policy, three-wheel handling, collector and off-road exceptions are not fully covered. Use the complete manuals and qualified instruction, and confirm application requirements with MVD before testing.

More about these sources
Independent practice, not official Montana test questions. Common signs and driving skills are not unique Montana rules. State licensing requirements are kept separate from shared operating guidance. Quizzes do not replace the complete manuals, current agency instructions or hands-on training.
