New Hampshire / Car road-rule and winter basics
New Hampshire sources and coverage
98 original car road-rule and winter questions with explanations after each answer. Choose a short test or focus on a topic.
Road rules, learner requirements and driver responsibilities. Use the separate topic sets below for licensing, phones, restraints, crashes and impairment, alongside common car skills and pictured signs. Motorcycle practice and CDL practice have their own questions and progress. Read the full handbook and application instructions too.

How we built this practice
The road-rule source is the General Court’s published RSA Chapter 265. Selected operative sections support traffic controls, speed, lanes, turning, priority, pedestrians, special stops and parking. Each question retains its exact section and clause internally.
We read the relevant codified text and available section histories on October 1, 2026. This is not a claim to have read the complete DMV manual or audited every subsequent session law. Future-effective January 2027 school-bus enforcement provisions are not presented as current rules. No official sample test or source illustrations have been copied.
Winter trip preparation and stalled-vehicle safety come from the Lebanon Police winter-driving page, an undated municipal publication crediting NHTSA. These are general safety recommendations, not extra New Hampshire statutes. Terse skid/braking instructions and numerical child-seat or rest advice are not included.
Local studies and source limits
The learner and youth-license set covers selected ordinary car requirements from RSA Chapter 263. The driver-responsibility set covers selected phone, restraint and crash duties from Chapters 265 and 264, and the impairment set covers its own alcohol and testing rules. These sets are available now, with separate practice question selections and combined car mistake review. The complete current DMV manual and every legal or application exception are not claimed; motorcycle and CDL studies have their own source limits.
Practice settings and progress
98 questions appear across short sets, topic pages and shuffled practice without being counted again. The untimed sessions and 80% study target are editorial, not official New Hampshire test specifications. Saved car review combines these road rules with the separate common-technique and pictured-sign practice, while preserving other states’ and vehicles’ mistakes.
Common car skills and pictured signs
81 additional questions on everyday driving skills and 28 common road signs. Review the explanations and save missed answers for later.
