New Mexico collision responsibilities: sources and limits

5 original questions with explanations and saved review. Practice stopping and remaining after a collision, information exchange, reasonable assistance, unattended-vehicle notices and immediate injury reporting. These ordinary-driver scenarios use selected state-cited passages in the 2025 municipal compilation.

Read each question’s conditions carefully. Requirements can differ by age, license and vehicle use. How we built this practice.

How we built this practice

The Municipal League’s 2025 Uniform Traffic Ordinance is hosted by the City of Hobbs. Its cover states revisions through July 2025 and footers June 2025. Relevant stopping, information, aid, unattended-vehicle and immediate-notice clauses and exceptions were read October 1, 2026; this is not a new current-code verification.

The complete relevant collision provisions were directly read October 1, 2026. Questions retain injury versus attended-vehicle scope, driver and vehicle-owner identification, assistance alternatives and the municipal versus outside-municipality notice distinction. Conflicting penalty wording and unselected reporting thresholds or deadlines are not adopted.

What is not covered

This is dated educational practice, not newly verified current statewide code or proof of municipal adoption. Property-damage reporting thresholds, written-report deadlines, penalties and autonomous-vehicle procedures are not scored. Reasonable assistance can include arranging medical help; it does not require unsafe personal transport.

Practice and saved mistakes

The full and shuffled views reuse the same 5 questions. Separate technical numbered sets and mixed practice selections stay unchanged. My mistakes adds this local topic to the same CAR history, without mixing other vehicles or states.
