New Mexico signals and intersection decisions: sources and limits

12 original questions with explanations and saved review. Practice signal responses, intersection priority and leaving a driveway. These ordinary-car scenarios use selected state-cited passages in the 2025 Uniform Traffic Ordinance compilation; follow any officer directing traffic.

Read each question’s conditions carefully. Requirements can differ by age, license and vehicle use. How we built this practice.

How we built this practice

The New Mexico Municipal League compilation is labeled 2025, with a cover stating revisions through July 2025 and June 2025 page footers. The relevant complete passages were read October 1, 2026 in the copy hosted by the City of Hobbs. Hosting does not itself establish adoption, statewide applicability or later amendments.

The complete signal, intersection-priority, stop/yield and driveway passages and their surrounding exceptions were directly read October 1, 2026. These original scenarios use the selected state-cited rules, not starred municipal additions. Ordinary-car and uncontrolled-intersection conditions remain explicit; the question-review date is separate from the compilation date.

What is not covered

This is dated educational practice, not verification of current statewide law or proof that a municipality adopted the compilation. Municipal-only additions, turns on red, standalone red arrows, bicycle exceptions and railroad signals are not tested. It is not a complete New Mexico traffic-law course.

Practice and saved mistakes

The full and shuffled views reuse the same 12 questions. Separate technical numbered sets and mixed practice selections stay unchanged. My mistakes adds this local topic to the same CAR history, without mixing other vehicles or states.
