New Mexico buses, emergencies and rail crossings: sources and limits

6 original questions with explanations and saved review. Practice ordinary-car duties around stopped school buses, moving emergency vehicles, roadside recovery vehicles and active rail crossings. The scenarios use selected state-cited passages in the 2025 Uniform Traffic Ordinance compilation.

Read each question’s conditions carefully. Requirements can differ by age, license and vehicle use. How we built this practice.

How we built this practice

The City of Hobbs-hosted Municipal League compilation is labeled 2025 with revisions through July 2025; page footers say June 2025. Complete selected bus, emergency and railroad provisions were read October 1, 2026. Its publication date and this review date do not establish later legal currency or adoption.

Complete relevant provisions and their exceptions were directly read October 1, 2026. Original car scenarios distinguish an undivided road from separate roadways, moving from stationary emergency situations, and safe from unsafe opportunities to move over. Starred municipal additions and special-category railroad rules are not scored.

What is not covered

Dated educational practice, not verification of current statewide law or municipal adoption. Separate-roadway and safe-lane-change conditions matter. This is not school-bus operator instruction, a complete endorsement course or permission to ignore another hazard or traffic control.

Practice and saved mistakes

The full and shuffled views reuse the same 6 questions. Separate technical numbered sets and mixed practice selections stay unchanged. My mistakes adds this local topic to the same CAR history, without mixing other vehicles or states.
