North Dakota-specific guidance checked September 29, 2026. Shared recognition retains its own dates and lawful artwork credits. Exact provenance remains in internal records. Numbered tests, topics and mixes reuse the same questions; their repeated appearances do not increase the inventory.

The current NDDOT Class D catalog links the 56-page 2025–2027 driver manual, with Revised 2025 body text. Current code and agency instructions resolve identified state requirements. A permit at age 14 is not unrestricted solo Class D driving; the ordinary restricted-license path begins at 15. Exact document and testing requirements should be confirmed with NDDOT. Our lawful shared sign images and original diagrams are study illustrations, not copied handbook artwork.

The current motorcycle catalog identifies the 56-page 2025–2027 motorcycle manual, DL0625, with Revised 2023 operational footers. The normal following minimum is three seconds; our group-formation item does not repeat its inconsistent shorter example. Current code separates learner passenger/night restrictions, under-16 qualification and engine size, helmet scope, and legal equipment minimums from safety recommendations. A road-test course waiver is not a waiver of all application requirements.

The current CDL catalog links the 168-page 2025–2027 CDL manual, DL0625, with older model-manual footers. The state supplement and current medical guidance distinguish Category 1 electronic medical reporting from Category 3 intrastate certificate carrying. Ordinary commercial ages are scoped separately from the custom-harvesting exception. Skills testing uses a hybrid transition through 2026; confirm the test site's required version and do not treat knowledge practice as a practical-test certificate.

Practice settings and limits

Numbered sets and fresh mixes are untimed, generally 20 questions or fewer, with an editorial 80% study target. These are study settings, not a verified official North Dakota exam format, timer or passing prediction. CDL mixed practice covers general knowledge only; choose the appropriate endorsements separately.

This finite English release covers core Class D car, two-wheel motorcycle and applicable CDL knowledge families with selected current requirements. It is not every administrative exception, every possible exam question, translated parity or practical-driving certification. Specialist school and farm permits, non-domiciled CDL policy, three-wheel handling and exhaustive administrative exceptions are not fully covered. Use the complete manuals and qualified instruction, and confirm application requirements with DMV before testing.
