How we built this practice

The complete relevant Rhode Island legislative sections and exceptions were read October 8, 2026. Displayed histories end in 2017 for restraints, 2014 for the minor-device rule, and July 2, 2025 for the call and texting amendments. Review does not mean an exhaustive search of every later amendment.

The five original scenarios and all four choices were independently reviewed October 8, 2026 using the actual official section bodies. Personal-trip, nonemergency, age, size, seating and safe-stop conditions are preserved. HTML section references are not PDF page numbers.

What is not covered

These ordinary private-car scenarios exclude the stated medical, emergency and official-duty exceptions. Hands-free calls by adults, under-18 calls and manual texting are distinct rules. This short set does not cover every exception, penalty or application requirement.

Practice and saved mistakes

The full and shuffled views reuse the same 5 questions. Separate technical numbered sets and mixed practice selections stay unchanged. My mistakes adds this local topic to the same CAR history, without mixing other vehicles or states.
