Idaho-specific guidance checked September 29, 2026. Common sign recognition retains its own source dates and artwork credits. Exact locators stay in our internal question records. Repeat appearances in topics and mixes do not increase the inventory.

Our earlier source review used the linked Idaho Driver’s Manual, which has a July 2026 edition date, despite the April upload directory. Current ITD notices supplement older passages, including hands-free device use and permit changes. Supervised instruction for younger learners is distinguished from the ordinary instruction-permit regime.

The July 2026 Motorcycle Operator Manual supplies two-wheel skills. Current ITD endorsement guidance supplements licensing requirements. We do not quiz the disputed course-waiver cutoff (manual 25 months versus web page two years), or extend the agreed freeway permit prohibition to every public highway.

The July 2026 CDL Manual has 2022 CDL Testing System body material. Current ITD CDL guidance and the ten-step licensing guide supply selected state requirements, including electronic medical reporting and the one-year CLP. Federal training and endorsement limits are identified as federal, not uniquely Idaho rules.

Practice settings and official tests

Our numbered sets and fresh mixes are untimed study sessions, generally 20 questions or fewer, with an editorial 80% learning target. They are not replicas of official examinations or a prediction of passing. Class D knowledge test: 40 questions. 34 correct are needed to pass. Manual publishes 40 questions and up to six misses. 34 correct is derived from those counts; a separate passing percentage is not published in the reviewed source. Age 15 is the knowledge-exam minimum in the retrieved handbook; driver-training permits can begin earlier at 14.5. The currently linked 2026/04 manual failed to load. The accessible official 2025/10 handbook confirms these counts; treat current-edition confirmation as pending. No explicit early-stop instruction found; 'before failing' wording alone is not proof that the screen terminates immediately. Our shorter sets do not adopt that official test format.

The CDL manual’s knowledge-test table specifies general knowledge 50 questions with 40 correct; hazardous materials 30 with 24; air brakes 25 with 20; and combination, tank, doubles/triples, passenger and school-bus tests each 20 with 16. No official timer or motorcycle knowledge-test length is claimed here. CDL mixes cover general knowledge; endorsements remain separate topics.

Coverage is finite: core English Class D car, two-wheel motorcycle and CDL knowledge families with selected current requirements. Every exception, every possible exam question, translated parity, full three-wheel training and practical certification are outside this release. Use the complete manuals and qualified instruction, and verify current ITD instructions before testing.

More about these sources

Independent practice, not official Idaho test questions. Common signs and driving skills are not unique Idaho rules. State licensing requirements are kept separate from shared operating guidance. Quizzes do not replace the complete manuals, current agency instructions or hands-on training.
