Rider practice coverage and sources
Common two-wheel technique and current local rules have different sources. Study both without treating another state's manual as Illinois law.

How we built this practice
The 47 added technique questions reuse our validated scenarios from the Michigan Motorcycle Operator Manual published by Schoolcraft College, identified as Michigan Department of State, May 2019. This is older technical guidance, not a verified current Illinois rider manual. Original source pages, qualifications and review dates remain intact.
The selected material covers controls and shifting, cornering, braking and avoidance, surfaces, special situations and group/fitness decisions. Follow the motorcycle manufacturer's instructions and approved training. Conventional/non-ABS/ABS and available-space conditions in the questions matter; these are not universal instructions for every motorcycle. Group spacing is handbook guidance, not an Illinois legal minimum.
Illinois rules remain separate
The existing Illinois equipment/operating rules, safety questions and 11-question licensing supplement retain their original sources. No Michigan permit, age, helmet, insurance or road-law question is imported. The separate minor Class M course-prerequisite issue is not settled by technique practice; this question set does not supply an answer where the retained official enrollment and completion descriptions conflict.
Confirm current application steps with Illinois Secretary of State guidance and IDOT rider training. These practice questions do not cover every current rule or replace practical certification. Do not practice emergency maneuvers in traffic to test a quiz answer.
Numbered sets, skill topics, shuffled practice tests and the full question set reuse the same questions. Licensing is separately available and is excluded from the riding-only mix. Mistakes stay in this browser when storage is available, isolated from car and CDL practice.
Focus on a riding skill
These six topics reuse the common technique questions in the numbered tests and full rider question set, not additional questions. Illinois local rules and licensing keep their separate source basis.
