Qualified CDL learner supervision: sources and limits
1 original questions with explanations and saved review. Practice the federal accompanying-driver requirements for otherwise lawful CLP training in an ordinary truck. The supervisor needs the matching commercial authority, the required physical position and direct supervision.
Read each question’s conditions carefully. Requirements can differ by age, license and vehicle use. How we built this practice.
How we built this practice
The complete relevant 49 CFR 383.25(a) introduction and (a)(1) were acquired September 29, 2026 with displayed Title 49 currency September 25; the displayed section history ends November 17, 2023. Recovery and content review on October 1, 2026 are not fresh currency verification.
The complete retained supervision paragraph, its context and history were directly read. The scenario establishes the other learner and trip conditions, rather than treating an accompanying driver as the entire qualification checklist. No Rhode Island state issuance rule is transferred.
What is not covered
This single decision does not establish all learner, vehicle or trip conditions. Permit duration, state age exceptions, issuance and complete endorsement restrictions are not covered. Passenger vehicles have an express seating alternative; remote supervision is not substituted.
Practice and saved mistakes
The full and shuffled views reuse the same 1 questions. Separate technical numbered sets and mixed practice selections stay unchanged. My mistakes adds this local topic to the same CDL history, without mixing other vehicles or states.
