How we built this practice
The source is the legislature’s published General Laws, Title 31. Selected sections of chapters 13–18, 20 and 21 support the traffic-control, speed, passing, turning, yielding, pedestrian, special-stop and parking scenarios. Each question retains the actual section and clause internally.
We read the relevant codified text and available section histories on October 1, 2026. This is not a claim to have read the complete DMV manual or audited every subsequent session law. No official sample test or source illustrations have been copied.
Separate local studies and remaining limits
Separate studies cover selected teen and adult licensing, impairment and chemical tests, collision duties, motorcycle authority and equipment, and CDL medical, qualification and learner-supervision rules. The original road-rule question set stays unchanged. A complete current DMV-manual edition, every legal exception and the full administrative qualification process are not claimed. Adult-permit authority was reconciled with the statute and retained DMV guidance; repealed motorcycle permit rules are not taught.

Practice settings and progress
78 questions appear across short sets, topic pages and shuffled practice without being counted again. The untimed sessions and 80% study target are editorial, not official Rhode Island test specifications. Saved car review combines these road rules with the separate common-technique and pictured-sign question set, while preserving other states’ and vehicles’ mistakes.
Common car skills and pictured signs
82 additional questions on everyday driving skills and 28 common road signs. Review the explanations and save missed answers for later.
Practice common car skills and signsSelected Rhode Island local requirements
These short studies supplement the existing practice question sets. Numbered sets and their mixed practice selections stay unchanged; My mistakes includes the additions within the same vehicle.
