Vermont / Car road-rule practice

Vermont sources and coverage

85 original car road-rule questions with explanations after each answer. Choose a short test or focus on a topic.

Road rules and local driver responsibilities. Separate sets below cover learner and junior licenses, phones, restraints, crashes, impairment and insurance, alongside common car skills and pictured signs. Motorcycle practice and CDL technical practice keep their own questions and progress. Read the full handbook and application instructions too.

How we built this practice

The source is the legislature’s published Vermont Statutes, Title 23, Chapter 13. Selected operating rules support the traffic-control, speed, passing, turning, yielding, pedestrian, rail-crossing and parking scenarios. Each question retains its actual section and clause internally.

The legislature describes this as an unofficial compilation including the 2025 session. We read the selected text on October 1, 2026; that does not establish a complete audit of 2026 session laws or the current DMV handbook. No official sample questions or source illustrations were copied.

Local studies and source limits

Selected learner, junior-license, device, restraint, crash, impairment and financial-responsibility rules are available in the separate local sets. These supplement the road-rule practice; they are not a complete current DMV handbook or every special-application rule. Each set retains its own source and currency limits. Motorcycle course-implementation questions and the unresolved intrastate CDL medical branch are not scored, and neither changes the scope of this car study.

Separate school-bus practice uses its own older manual, practice questions and saved review. Car and school-bus questions are not mixed.

Practice settings and progress

85 questions appear across short sets, topic pages and shuffled practice without being counted again. The untimed sessions and 80% study target are editorial, not official Vermont test specifications. Saved car review combines these road rules, the separate common-technique and pictured-sign question set, and the local learner, responsibility, impairment and insurance sets, while preserving other states’ and vehicles’ mistakes.

Common car skills and pictured signs

82 additional questions on everyday driving skills and 28 common road signs. Review the explanations and save missed answers for later.

More about these sources

Independent text-based practice from selected Vermont Statutes, Title 23, Chapter 13, read October 1, 2026. The legislature labels this an unofficial compilation including the 2025 session; this is not an audit of every 2026 amendment. These pages cover road decisions, not the whole DMV handbook, every legal exception or practical driving instruction.
