Vermont / School-bus basics
Vermont school-bus sources and coverage
49 original school-bus knowledge questions, with explanations after each answer. Choose a short test or focus on a topic.
Partial release: car road rules and school-bus knowledge. Common rider skills are available separately; 84 common CDL technical questions are also available, alongside selected local qualification practice. Current medical administration and remaining local requirements are still in progress. This is not a complete CDL course, an official full test, or practical driver certification.

How we built this practice
The Vermont legislative report and attachments contains the School Bus Manual, VN-03, reprinted June 2016. This older 74-page manual occupies physical PDF pages 181–254 of the 258-page report dated December 20, 2018. It supplements CDL instruction; it is not a complete or verified current CDL manual.
Selected passages cover rail-crossing hazards, passenger loading safety, observation, space and traction, route assessment, student management, emergency evacuation and vehicle readiness. Each question retains its section, printed manual page and physical PDF page internally; the appendix offset is 180 pages.
The questions are original text-based scenarios, not copied official test questions. They do not reproduce the source illustrations. The downloadable report was checked October 1, 2026; that does not establish the older manual as current licensing law.
What this school-bus question set does not cover
The separate local CDL qualification set covers selected ordinary licensing and learner responsibilities. Current medical administration and intrastate medical details remain unresolved. This older school-bus question set does not establish current legal distances or equipment thresholds, complete loading-light or brake-test procedures, first aid certification, or full state syllabuses. Follow current agency guidance, qualified instruction and employer procedures. No practical competence, ELDT completion or official test result is certified here.
Practice settings and progress
49 records are shared across numbered sets, topic pages and shuffled practice. They are not counted again each time they appear. Practice is untimed, generally in sessions of 20 or fewer; the 80% learning target is editorial. The shared CDL review combines this school-bus question set, the separate common technical subjects and the selected local qualification set, while leaving other states’ and vehicles’ records intact.
More CDL technical subjects
84 additional common-knowledge questions cover general driving and cargo, air brakes, combinations, double trailers, tanks, passenger vehicles, school buses and hazardous-materials safety. They use separate older technical sources and do not establish current Vermont law; the local qualification set has its own statutory source. Source dates and coverage Your existing school-bus sets and progress stay unchanged, with all three question sets available in My CDL mistakes.

School-bus study scope
Independent knowledge practice based on selected passages from the older Vermont School Bus Manual (VN-03, reprinted June 2016), included in a 2018 legislative report. This supplement is not a verified current DMV licensing manual. No copied official test questions or diagram-dependent questions are included. Read the complete guidance and follow qualified instruction and your employer’s procedures; quizzes do not replace hands-on training.
